Branded applications and resumes are great, but it's important to demonstrate what skills you're bringing to the table. Instead of only placing this piece into a portfolio, this letter would be mailed alongside the resume.
The goal of this project is to provide context and a solution for this puzzle in this portfolio entry. The text is meant to be innocuous. Only small hints are given - such as specific terms, odd changes to font (specifically serif to non-serif), use of italics & bold, etc. However in the event that the puzzle is too subtle, largely due to it being unexpected, this portfolio entry piques curiosity and presents the puzzle for its true nature.
Knowing that detecting the puzzle would be a challenge in and of itself, it's important that the steps for the solution be simple and straightforward.
