Phoenix Community Development Services - Website Redesign
Developed Using:  Adobe illustrator and Adobe XD
Status: Awaiting approval from client
Role in Project: Solo web design project
Phoenix Community Development Services is a homeless outreach organization. Their specialty is working directly with individuals who are experiencing homelessness, and providing them with permanent housing solutions. I had been hired in 2019 to help them transition their brand from South Side Office of Concern. Part of my job was updating their website.
Since graduating, I was rehired on a temporary basis to help with some moving projects. In my downtime, I took a long look at the complications of the current site and attempted two redesign. Their current site can be found at https://phoenixcds.org
Redesign 1 - November 2021
The purpose of this particular redesign was to take the mobile issues experienced by the site caused through the Wordpress theme ColorMag, and design solutions to make the content of the existing website more compliant with modern mobile design.

Redesign 2 - January 2022
Unlike the previous redesign, which was to take the existing site features and create a mobile-friendly version this design served to break from the features of the existing site. Having spent more time at Phoenix CDS, I came to understand how the site was being used and who was able to update its content.
This design breaks from the blog-style elements of the current design to a more generally information-heavy layout. Fewer elements to update on a regular basis will help the site appear more active, and information chunking based on expected user-centered goals.
