UI Icons for Circuit Breaker

The 2020 Capstone team Still Pending opted to continue work on their game Circuit Breaker, with the goal of a release on Steam (Currently Available). Their game had good 3D assets, and a polished game experience, but had a difficult time in conveying what their abilities could do quickly and effectively. I was asked to join up temporarily as a UI artist.
One of the first exercises I performed was simplifying their icons to flatter, more legible elements. Depth and shading could be added later, but having too much detail in small spaces made the icons overly busy.
This game featured 4 different audiences, making my initial task to create a moodboard to ideate on the different fonts, color schemes, and iconography that would push the unique and differentiating features between the audiences.
After that, a rough design of in-game icons was created. Since the game featured hexagonal tiles, I did what I could to repeat that shape to help push the 3D isometric view into the icons.
